465mm used to be the generic industry standard width for a fixed vented shelf. Whilst this still remains our most popular width shelf some cabinet manufacturers tie in their unwitting customers in to having to purchase their shelf by using different mounting profiles. 485mm and 495mm width shelves are now fairly common place, and we can supply these up on request and probably for much less than you cabinet manufacturer would like to charge you.
Important measurement: 19" profiles have a return edge that protrudes to the inside of the cabinet. Taking a cross sectional view of the profile; if you are looking at a perfect "L" shaped piece of metal, your requirement is likely to be for a 495mm cab but it will be the internal-most part of the "L"s that will need to be measured.
If a cross sectional view of your profile resembles a question mark, when viewing from front on - it is the distance between the internal-most part that measurement needs to be taken between. It is likey to be 465mm as this is most common.
