Returns Policy
RETURNS
To return any goods, email sales@dcdi.co.uk with your original order reference and a brief reason for return. A returns number (RMA) will be supplied if return conditions are met. See returns conditions below.
The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000
Contracts for goods bought by non-business customers via phone, the Data Comms Direct Ltd website, or mail order, are subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 ('the Regulations').
Customers can cancel goods by sending a written notice to sales@dcdi.co.uk within 14 working days of delivery. The goods must arrive back within 14 days after the RMA is issued for a full refund.
Customers must cover return costs if they cancel under the Regulations. If not returned, the goods must be available for collection at the customer's expense.
Customers must retain possession and take reasonable care of goods while awaiting return. Customers are liable for any loss or damage during this period.
We cannot accept returns of UPS, UPS Batteries, or any opened or unpacked batteries.
General Return Policy
Data Comms Direct Ltd does not sell products on a trial basis. Customers should check suitability and specifications before ordering. Special price discounts are non-returnable and non-cancellable, except for defective goods.
Data Comms Direct Ltd may accept returns of unwanted products at its discretion within 28 days of the RMA being issued. Goods must be unopened and in resalable condition. A handling fee of 25% maybe applied under certain circumstances e.g. returning a large percentage of a large value order. Cut-to-length cable has a 50% handling fee (Cut-to-length cables can be identified by products ordered by entering length required)
RETURNING CABINETS
Customers must arrange the return of Floorstanding, Server, or Wall mount cabinets. Only in exceptional cases will we arrange collection. The courier charge will be deducted from the refund.
Returns of Faulty Goods
We aim to provide high-quality products and service. Occasionally, products may be faulty or defective. We offer the following return facilities:
All goods delivered to a UK mainland address carry a 12-month manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated.
Business Purchases
For business purchases, all implied warranties are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Goods are not tested for specific applications unless agreed in writing.
Faulty Goods Return Process
Defective goods can be returned for a full refund or replacement within 14 days of delivery. Following is the return process:
- Contact technical support or customer support to arrange the return method. We may arrange courier collection or request direct return.
- Authorised returns must be sent to: Data Comms Direct - Returns, Unit 3J, Westpark, Wellington, TA21 9AD
- A "no charge" collection, repair, and delivery service is offered within 14 days of delivery. Ensure someone is present for courier collection.
- All returned goods must have a Returns Mandate Authorisation number (RMA Number) obtained by emailing Customer Support at sales@dcdi.co.uk.
- Do not deface the manufacturer's packaging. Returns should be suitably packaged with our address and RMA number clearly marked. Inadequate packaging may result in rejection or a restocking fee.
- We are not liable for packages damaged during transit. Ensure adequate wrapping to prevent damage.
- For your own protection please use a delivery method that offers you proof of delivery and insure if necessary.
- We will test the returned product for the identified fault.
- If no fault is found, we will return the product at your cost. If a replacement was provided, you must pay for it. This does not apply to returns under the distance selling regulations.
Warranty Claims
Goods delivered to a UK mainland address carry a 12-month warranty. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for warranty claims. We may refer you to the manufacturer directly. This does not affect statutory rights.
Exclusions
Warranty is void if goods are altered or damaged by the customer. Software licenses are non-returnable unless defective.
Manufacturer Time Limits
Some manufacturers require returns within 14 days or less. Their time limit applies. Returns must be made within 14 days of purchase or the manufacturer's limit if less. Check goods promptly upon receipt.
