On one end of this A to B USB cable is a standard USB Type-A connector for connection to your computer. On the other end is a standard USB Type-B connector which connects to the Type B port commonly found on larger devices like printers, scanners and some mass storage devices. This means that you can connect the Type-A connection to your computer, and then connect the Type-B connector to your device.
